Second Annual Swift River Regatta

The Arts Council of Tamworth is pleased to host the second annual Tamworth Swift River Regatta on Saturday, May 30th. Kids of all ages and their families are invited to join in the friendly competition that’s a great spectator event. Competitors will customize and decorate a 9” pine wooden model sailboat and compete for cash and other prizes in the Swift River course that passes through the center of town. The boats, built in Tamworth by Swift River Wood Products, are available for advance purchase online or at the Tamworth Farmer’s Market on May 16th. Only 35 boats will be available. The prizes will be $50 for first place (in both youth and adult divisions) and $25 for second place (in both youth and adult divisions). There will also be prizes for best-decorated boat!
