The Christine Powers Memorial Scholarship  is presented by the Greater Ossipee Area Chamber of Commerce each year to deserving students. Christine Powers was the driving force building a better Chamber and was also part owner of the Sunny Villa Restaurant, teacher, and active in civic activities in Ossipee. We have Christine's husband, Jerry Powers Jr, to thank for making this scholarship possible.

The object is to offer financial assistance in the form of scholarships to area people who will be entering college in the fall of each year. Eligible people must physically reside in the towns of Effingham, Freedom, Madison, Ossipee, Sandwich, or Tamworth and attend Kennett, Kingswood, Community School of Tamworth or enroll in a Adult Tutorial Program.
