A Place for All Seasons...

No area in New England can match the wealth of vacation opportunities here in the Greater Ossipee Area...the quality family attractions, the sports and recreation, delightful dining, comfortable lodging, and warm hospitality. With 86 mountain peaks, 9 notches, and the White Mountain National Forest, this area is a natural playground, perfect for fishing, biking, hiking, swimming, canoeing, boating, picnicking, skiing, snowmobiling, and much, much more.

Springtime is a fisherman's dream here in the Eastern Lakes Region with our rushing rivers and streams teeming with trout and salmon, both native and stocked.

In Summer, guests can enjoy picnic lunches while hiking through the many trails, enjoy a waterfall or other scenic wonder, or go swimming or canoeing. Our crystal clear lakes provide a cool, refreshing dip for swimmers of all abilities. For the ambitious, over 150 miles of trails link the scenic peaks of the famous Presidential Mountain Range. Mountain biking and hiking opportunities abound! Horseback riding and golf are available right nearby as well.

Autumn in New Hampshire brings the most spectacular display of color and vibrance that must be seen to be appreciated. The surrounding mountains provide the perfect backdrop for the vivid hues of the fall foliage. Take a ride along the scenic Kancamagus Highway, 30 miles of spectacular viewing along the only National Scenic Byway in New England. Allow plenty of time for stops to picnic, to view the scenery from an overlook, or to hike a short distance to a beautiful waterfall.

During the Winter months, you can enjoy cross country skiing on trails all around the area. The Mount Washington Valley Ski Touring Association offers 65 kilometers of varying challenges throughout the area. If alpine skiing is your passion, just minutes away you can enjoy superb alpine skiing at King Pine Ski Area. If you want variety in your skiing, five other major ski areas are just a short drive away.

Scores of attractions and points of interest nearby are sure to keep all ages having fun. Here's just a sampling of some of the things you can do:

The Flume, The Cog Railway, Clark's Trading Post, The Old Man of the Mountain, Story Land in nearby Glen, NH, The Tramway at Cannon Mountain, Santa's Village in nearby Jefferson, NH, The Lost River Gorge in Kinsman Notch, Mount Washington and the Mt. Washington Auto Road (can your car make it to the top?), The Whale's Tale Amusement Park in nearby Lincoln, NH, Attitash Bear Peak's Alpine and Water Slides...and the list goes on.
