Greater Osssipee Area Chamber of Commerce
Board of Directors meeting
April 4, 2007

Members present: Joe Costello, John Szewczyk, Ann Ward, Carol, Jim Sullivan, Kitty Amaral, Carol Gartland, Steve Sousa.

Steve called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m.

MOTION to have the treasurer and secretary reports emailed to other board members.

Nominations for new board members - unanimous decision to have three (Kitty, Jim S., and Carol G.); Kitty's and Carol's terms expire at the end of 2008; Jim's term ends at end of 2009.

Winter Carnival: received invoice from Rock Maple Racing (RMR) for snow making; Check for $2,000 plus deposit for next year; Sammy's owed from RMR $600; will exchange for ad in guidebook

Guidebook: Marketing of guidebook going well; Cynthia Lamont is soliciting for ads; goal is to have it ready for Memorial Day.

NH Charitable Foundation: not going to use them for one year due to change in legislation. Joe will call Henry about this.

Membership: 153 members (10 or 12 pending renewal) Sept. - description (within chamber website) of a business, in case the business doesn't have its own website.
Maxfield Real Estate was promised a banner ad - didn't happen. Steve said he would look into it. Chamber will make up for it somehow. Lazy Susan's and Miller Auto, also; We barter for membership (occasionally).

Lori Lenart - Admin. Assistant and Exec. Director (both positions). Will it be too much? (1 year with 3 options for review).

Info booth tax status: we paid the tax bill - abatement? Bill's looking into it. Building is ours - David Sands owns the land.

Chamber by laws: need to change (Carol) Establish committee. Email to office for Carol.

Chamber office space: Bill G.'s building; to be renovated

Annual meeting: where, when, and date; meal? need bids after date is set. date: Friday, Oct. 26th

Other business:
Joe C. will know more April 18th about heart valve problem
April 14-23 Steve will be out of town
$350 - $400 to get software update: Steve made a motion to get a quickbooks update. Ann seconded
We (the chamber) will sponsor Randy's Nashville in the Mountains ($500); Barbecue also?
