Celebrate Effingham
Celebrate Effingham will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Murray Field Fire Station on Rt. 153, beginning with a parade from the library to South Effingham. Charles Canney Post of Rochester will reenact a Civil War Encampment with demonstrations throughout the day. Other events include kids' games, a crafts village with craftspeople from the surrounding area, book sale, bake sale, plant sale, pie judging contest, teen activities, a horseshoe tournament, fire engine rides, Bobby Sue's ice cream, raffles, games, and lots of food throughout the day.
